Itinerary
Day 1
LivingstoneTransfer to our lodge in Livingstone area. In the afternoon you have the opportunity to visit the famous Victoria Falls (optional, entry ($20)). Dinner is served in a restaurant (own expense).
Overnight in chalets or luxury safari tent.
Day 2
Lake Kariba - Lotri BayWe head off to the beautiful Lotri Bay, situated on the Kariba Lake. In the late afternoon we do a walk in the surrounding hills from where we have a spectacular view of the lake and Lotri Bay.

Days 3 and 4
Lower Zambezi National ParkIt is about a 4 hour’s drive to our next destination, Kasaka River Lodge. In the afternoon we do a game drive in the Chongwe River area for sundowners.
The next day we will spend most of the day in the National Park to explore the interesting fauna and flora of the Zambezi valley.

Days 5 and 6
Lower Zambezi RiverWe do a last game drive in the park before we embark for our exploration of the Zambezi River in motorized rafts.
The current slowly takes us downstream while we enjoy the rich wildlife passing by.
We camp wild on an island in the river.
The next day we also spend in our inflatable rafts, exploring smaller channels and drifting down towards our next camp. We spend the night in the beautiful Mupata Gorge on one of the many sandbanks. (2 x B/L/D)
Day 7
LusakaWe cover the last stretch to our take-out point at the confluence of the Laungwa River. The vehicles will be waiting for us here. We pack and head off to Lusaka where we arrive late afternoon.
Overnight in chalets at Wilddog Lodge or Pioneer Camp. Dinner is served in the restaurant. (B/L/-)
Days 8 and 9
Central Kafue National ParkKafue, remote and wild, with a size of close to 23.000 square km one of the largest in the world.
We do game drives from our campsite at Mayukuyuku, situated in the national park. Kafue is known for its species diversity, with 21 species of antelope that includes the majestic sable antelope and roan antelope.

Days 10 and 11
Exploring the Kafue RiverKafue river is very picturesque with granite boulders, Makalani Palms (Real Fan Palm) and Waterberry trees shaping the beautiful river frontage. We drift down in our inflatable rafts, passing many islands on the way and rafting through numerous small rapids.
We camp the night on an island in the Kafue River. The second night will be spent on the campsite of Kaingu Lodge. (B/L/D).
Day 12
Lake Ithezi TheziKaingu Lodge is our take-out point. From here we head into the southern section of the park and camp next to the Ithezi-Thezi Lake at Hippo Bay Campsite. In the afternoon we explore the edge of the lake on a gam drive.

Day 13
LivingstoneWe do a last, long game drive to see the prolific game and birdlife of the area. Around midday we pack up and leave for Livingstone.
Overnight in chalets or luxury tents in Livingstone. Dinner is served in a restaurant. (B/L/-)
Day 14
DepartureTransfer to Livingstone Airport (or for a surcharge to Victoria Falls Airport) and flight back home.

Competent English-speaking guide and a helper/cook
