Kafue National Park From South to North

Arrival in Livingstone, transfer to Maramba River Lodge. Overnight in en-suite safari tents. Dinner in the restaurant. (-/-/-)

In the morning of day 2 we start our safari to Kafue National Park. We have time to explore the southern area of this huge park on our game drives.
2 x overnight in Chalets at Hornbill Camp near the Nanzhila Plains. (2x FB).

We carry on to Lake Ithezi Thezi. The scenery on the lake shore is beautiful and wildlife occurs plentiful on the floodplains and shore line.

Along the Spinal Road we drive to Mawimbi Bush Camp, beautifully set on the banks of the Kafue River. We do game drives in this area.

Transfer to Busanga Plains in the morning of day 8.This area can only be visited in a very limited time of the year. You will spend 2 days in this remote wilderness to explore the area on game drives 2x Overnight at Kasonso Camp (2x FB).

We leave the wilderness of this huge park and carry on to Lusaka, where we spend the night at Lilayi Lodge. We can make a bush walk in the afternoon or relax at the pool of the lodge.

Transfer to Lusaka Airport and departure.

After breakfast we drive through Lusaka and down the escarpment to the Zambezi valley. A visit to the Lower Zambezi Park is one of the highlights in Zambia.
The Zambezi River on the one side and the Escarpment on the other form the backdrop of our game viewing. We do game drives in the Park and boating along the river shore to watch the animals come to drink. On one of these days we will do a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi.

We stay overnight in spacious Safari Tents at Kasaka River Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River (3x FB).

Transfer to Lusaka and departure in the late afternoon (alternatively an additional night in Lusaka and departure on day 15) (B/-/-).
